Job summary

The Ben Hotel in West Palm Beach, Florida, part of the Sage Hospitality Group, seeks a Director of Finance to join the executive leadership team. This strategic, hands-on role leads all financial operations for the property, partnering with the GM and department heads to drive performance, protect assets, and ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate has hospitality finance leadership, strong analytical skills, and a track record in budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• A four-year college degree (accounting preferred) or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience 5–10 years in a related position with this company or others.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hotel leaders on daily operations and special projects to identify financial risks and guide decisions.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget, business plan, and financial goals with disciplined accounting practices.
• Establish quarterly priorities for department heads and ensure accountability with action plans and dates.
• Prepare monthly forecasts for staffing and operating expenses, aligning staffing with forecasted revenue and costs.
• Review monthly financial statements to identify trends and ensure responsible use of hotel resources.
• Promote morale and engagement within the finance team and lead performance reviews.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and support compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Sales and Revenue teams to review activity, group rates, and key accounts.
