Job summary

D’Youville University in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Executive Director for Nursing Access Programming to lead the LPN-to-BSN competency-based pathway and the CNA training program. The role requires strong leadership, curriculum design expertise, and experience with non-traditional learners.

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN license in good standing.
• Master’s degree in nursing or education; doctorate preferred.
• 5+ years progressive academic/clinical leadership.
• Curriculum development and competency-based education experience.
• Regulatory compliance experience (NYSED program registration).
• For CNA oversight: NATP coordinator qualification.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Experience with online learning or hybrid programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and continuous improvement of the LPN-to-BSN competency-based curriculum.
• Oversee the CNA training program and certification prep.
• Support innovative teaching strategies including simulation and mastery progression.
• Ensure NYSDOH NATP and NYSED program registration compliance.
• Build partnerships with nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and employers.
• Manage program budgets, equipment, and assessment activities.
• Represent D’Youville in workforce development and community partnerships.
