The Henry L. Ferguson Museum and Land Trust on Fishers Island, NY seeks an Executive Director to lead a growing nonprofit. The ED will secure sustainable funding, oversee programs, staff, and operations, and work with the Board to advance the mission.

Located off Connecticut, Fishers Island offers a year-round community with seasonal activity. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on management and a collaborative leadership style, and is committed to community stewardship.

Formación

• Leadership experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Ability to build, supervise, develop, and retain a strong staff team.
• Developing and managing budgets and financial statements.
• Fundraising, donor relations, grants, and other nonprofit resource development.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Organizational leadership and strategy: translate Board direction into priorities and align staff and resources.
• Staff leadership and human resources: foster a mission-centered culture and coordinate governance with staff.
• Finance and administration: oversee annual operating budget and financial controls.
• Operations, technology and facilities: maintain efficient admin, IT, and facilities systems.
• Development and membership: coordinate fundraising strategy and manage internal/external systems.
• Communications: manage newsletters, website, and social media.
