Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia seeks an Executive Director, Multilingual Curriculum and Programs to lead ELL instruction, compliance, and district-wide coordination. This role oversees ESOL/Bilingual programs, Title III compliance, and collaboration with schools and central offices to accelerate English language learners’ access to the core curriculum.

You will manage policy, staff development, and partnerships with the Enrollment Center, while ensuring legal and state/federal compliance,

Qualifications

Master’s degree in ESOL/ESL or bilingual education.
Six years full-time, paid, professional experience in multilingual education, five in admin/supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

Directs the operational functions of the Multilingual Department, supervising ELL compliance, instructional programs and professional development.
Oversees identification, assessment and placement of ELLs and analyzes language program practices for improvement.
Collaborates with District departments to keep the public informed about ELL programs and activities.
Analyzes ELL data to inform district-wide instructional strategies and reporting.
Leads the development and delivery of a comprehensive staff development program for ESOL and bilingual staff.
