Job summary

The position requires a Master’s degree, PA administrative certification, and extensive ESOL/bilingual program leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of full-time, paid, professional appointed classroom or site-based teaching experience in ESOL or bilingual programs.
• Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania administrative certificate (K-12) and ESL Program Specialist certificate.
• Knowledge of ELL compliance, standards, and data-driven instruction.
• Ability to collaborate with district staff, schools, parents, and communities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates professional development for teachers and administrators.
• Assists in the creation and delivery of professional development and training for ESOL teachers, bilingual teachers, schools and region-based groups.
• Assists schools and regions in accessing resources for implementing effective instructional practices.
• Oversees, coordinates, and monitors ELL programs.
• Ensures the implementation of programs and practices that support the goals and objectives of the District.
• Establishes positive relationships with community partners to foster collaboration in the educational attainment of ELLs.
