Job summary

YourLife Senior Living in Tallahassee, FL, seeks an experienced Executive Director for its Memory Care community. You will lead all aspects of operations, ensure regulatory compliance with Florida AHCA, and mentor department leaders to build a culture of accountability and exceptional service.

You will drive resident safety, engagement, occupancy, and financial performance while collaborating with senior leadership to meet operational, clinical, and occupancy goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Executive Director or senior leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living.
• Florida ALF Core Trained and Certified (required).
• Demonstrated success leading teams, improving culture, and achieving operational and financial goals.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for serving older adults with dementia and related conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operations require.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all community operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including Florida AHCA requirements.
• Mentor and develop department leaders to foster accountability and teamwork.
• Create an environment where residents are safe, engaged, and thriving.
• Build relationships with residents, families, referral partners, and the community.
• Oversee budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expenses.
• Partner with the Community Relations Director to maintain occupancy and reputation.
• Maintain quality assurance and risk management programs.
• Collaborate with Corporate Leadership to achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities

As the Executive Director, you will provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of community operations, including:

• Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Florida AHCA requirements.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing department leaders to create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional service.
• Creating an environment where residents are safe, engaged, and living their best lives.
• Building trusting relationships with residents, families, referral partners, and the surrounding community.
• Overseeing financial performance, including budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and expense management.
• Partnering with the Community Relations Director to maintain strong occupancy through outstanding resident satisfaction and community reputation.
• Maintaining quality assurance and ensuring all health, safety, emergency preparedness, and risk management programs are effectively implemented.
• Collaborating with Corporate Leadership to achieve operational, financial, clinical, and occupancy goals.

• Florida Assisted Living Facility (ALF) Core Trained and Certified (required).
• Demonstrated success leading teams, improving culture, and achieving operational and financial goals.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for serving older adults and supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
