Job summary

Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, a federally designated OPO serving upstate New York, seeks an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership and drive its mission. You will direct day-to-day operations, set strategy, and ensure annual goals are met within the University of Rochester Medicine structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 5 years’ experience in clinical, personnel, and fiscal management of an OPO.
• Senior leadership experience in an OPO is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire organization including clinical ops, finance, development, and compliance.
• Set strategy and annual goals; guide service expansion and improvement.
• Partner with transplant leaders at hospitals to drive performance improvements.
• Develop best practices for organ recovery and donor hospital relations.
• Recruit and engage advisory board members for targeted initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Prepare and manage annual budget; negotiate contracts and capital expenditures.
• Lead public outreach to grow donor registry enrollment and act as spokesperson.
