Job summary

MUSC Health is transforming Supply Chain into an enterprise strategic function. This role serves as the chief commercial advisor to the CIO, shaping strategy, evaluating markets, and negotiating large enterprise contracts to advance technology initiatives.

You will develop multi-year category strategies, monitor market trends in software, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services, and lead executive-level supplier reviews to realize measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years strategic sourcing experience with significant professional services procurement.
• 7+ years leadership experience.
• Experience managing complex enterprise negotiations.
• Large Healthcare Setting or Fortune 500 procurement leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal commercial advisor to the Chief Information Officer and direct reports, translating enterprise technology priorities into executable sourcing, supplier, and commercial strategies.
• Participate in strategic planning, portfolio reviews, and investment discussions before procurement activities begin to influence technology roadmaps and acquisition strategies.
• Develop multi-year category strategies that balance innovation, cybersecurity, operational resiliency, and total cost of ownership.
• Lead negotiations that optimize enterprise value through commercial flexibility, implementation support, performance guarantees, and measurable value realization.
• Develop a best-in-class enterprise technology supplier ecosystem that advances innovation and long-term strategic partnerships.
