Job summary

North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is seeking an Executive Director to oversee operations and events at the Governor's Mansion. Qualifications

• Experience supervising employees and providing direction, performance management, training, and professional development.
• Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and operational processes.
• Experience managing budgets, expenditures, purchasing, contracts, vendors, and other administrative resources.
• Experience coordinating projects, meetings, events, or programs involving multiple departments, agencies, or external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic leadership and day-to-day executive oversight of Mansion operations.
• Establishing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and protocols for Mansion operations and events.
• Serving as the principal administrative liaison among the Governor's Office, Mansion staff, state agencies, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Advising the Governor and First Family on Mansion operations, hospitality, events, protocol, and related matters.
• Exercising sound judgment in handling confidential, sensitive, and time-critical matters.
• Developing and managing operating budgets, expenditures, contracts, purchasing, and financial controls.
