Job summary

Merck is seeking an Executive Director, PDT Lead in Oncology Global Clinical Development to plan and direct clinical research for oncology products. You will manage the full lifecycle from strategy through regulatory reporting, while guiding internal and external collaborations.

Applicants should have MD/PhD, 5+ years in industry drug development, and expertise in thoracic oncology. The role includes global leadership, cross-functional oversight, and occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in industry in Thoracic Oncology.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical medicine experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in drug development.
• Demonstrated record of scientific scholarship and achievement.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct clinical development strategies for oncology assets.
• Lead study design, initiation, execution, monitoring, analysis, regulatory reporting and publications.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams including regulatory, statistics, medical affairs and manufacturing.
• Interact with key opinion leaders and external researchers to advance programs.
