Job summary

Human Rights Funders Network (HRFN) seeks a seasoned Executive Director to lead a global philanthropy network of grantmakers and funders advancing human rights. The ED will set strategic direction, foster partnerships, and drive program design across conferences, research, and advocacy initiatives.

The role requires deep knowledge of human rights funding, international philanthropy, and a commitment to equity and inclusion, with a track record of effective leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success leading organizations or start-ups with strategic planning.
• Strong ability to build coalitions and mobilize diverse stakeholders.
• Experience guiding fundraising strategy and key donor engagement.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and human rights principles.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience aligned with HRFN’s work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HRFN's strategic vision and program design.
• Lead staff, Steering Committee, and partnerships to advance HRFN’s mission.
• Represent HRFN to donors, funders, and the global human rights community.
• Oversee conferences, working groups, and research initiatives.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture and ensure operational effectiveness.
