Job summary

The 4-H Education Center at Auerfarm in Bloomfield, CT seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization’s mission, operations, and community engagement. You will work with a dedicated staff and an engaged board to sustain and grow educational programs, farm operations, and farm-to-community partnerships.

This role requires collaborative, entrepreneurial leadership, fundraising acumen, and a commitment to environmental education, youth development, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience.
• Experience with Boards of Directors.
• Philanthropic fundraising experience.
• Budgeting, financial planning and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to advance mission and resilience.
• Partner with the Board to establish organizational priorities and strategic goals.
• Lead strategic planning and implementation of initiatives.
• Preserve and strengthen educational heritage while growing impact.
• Oversee fundraising initiatives and external relations.
• Direct staff of ~15 and foster a positive culture.
• Oversee facilities, operations, and program delivery.
