Job summary

Addison County Parent Child Center (ACPCC) is seeking an Executive Director to guide the organization after a leadership transition. The ED will set strategy, oversee programs, finances, and fundraising, and serve as the primary public representative with families, partners, and funders.

Based in Addison County, this role requires building a collaborative culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving long-term sustainability through strong governance and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social work, or a related field.
• 5+ years of organizational or departmental leadership in a community service or family-support setting.
• Experience fostering a culture of trust, transparency, and mutual respect across functions and programs, and supporting a leadership team.
• Proven experience overseeing organizational leadership, finances, budgets, and core operations of a multi-program organization.
• Experience working with community partnerships, boards, or multi-program organizations.
• Knowledge of Vermont’s early childhood and family-support systems, regulatory requirements, and related accountability practices.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and strategy: develop strategic plan and long-term priorities; serve as representative to VPCCN and committees; ensure grant obligations; liaison to Board.
• Lead programs: oversight across all ACPCC programs; promote inclusive access; evaluate needs and adjust services; represent in regional collaborations.
• Build and support the team: recruit, hire, develop, mentor staff; foster collaborative culture; oversee HR compliance and onboarding; ensure open communications.
• Steward resources: annual budgeting and financial planning with CFO and Board Finance Committee; monitor finances and program revenue; track enrollment and staffing implications.
• Run the operation: oversee day-to-day operations; ensure licensing and regulatory compliance; manage facilities and safety.
• Travel and stakeholder engagement: engage with families, staff, boards, community partners, funders; uphold mission in public forums.
