Job summary

The Counseling Service of Addison County Inc is seeking a compassionate Community Services Manager to support individuals with developmental disabilities who are living independently in the community. This role emphasizes honoring choices, recognizing strengths, and creating opportunities for greater independence and a meaningful life.

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus 2–4 years' relevant experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and person-centered services.
• Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, email, web navigation, and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Champion individual choice and independence in daily living skills and goals.
• Create opportunities for community inclusion and meaningful activities and relationships.
• Coordinate person-centered services, ISA planning, monitor progress, and communicate changing needs.
• Advocate for individuals with families, guardians, providers, and community partners to ensure access to services.
• Promote health, safety, stability, housing, transportation, benefits, and other essential services.
• Recognize the whole person and respond when additional support is needed.
