Job summary

Selby Jennings seeks a Director of Family Office Services in Baltimore to lead relationships with ultra-high-net-worth families and oversee customized family office service plans. You will provide strategic guidance on wealth preservation, tax and estate planning, cash flow management, and family governance, coordinating with attorneys, CPAs, investment advisors, trustees, and other external professionals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in family office services, private client advisory, wealth management, trust services, tax, or public accounting.
• Deep understanding of estate planning, tax planning, trust structures, and wealth transfer strategies.
• Strong leadership experience managing teams and client relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead relationship management for ultra-high-net-worth families.
• Develop and oversee customized family office service plans.
• Provide strategic guidance on wealth preservation, tax planning, estate planning, cash flow management, and governance.
• Coordinate with attorneys, CPAs, investment advisors, trustees, and other professionals.
• Review complex personal financial statements, net worth reports, and family office reporting packages.
• Oversee household finances, family entities, trusts, and SP investment structures.
• Lead complex client projects including liquidity events, estate settlements, and real estate transactions.
• Identify planning opportunities and address client needs.
• Mentor and develop managers and junior staff.
• Participate in business development and referral source relationship management.
• Establish best practices, operating procedures, and service standards across the family office platform.
