Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Director to oversee facilities operations across eight East Bay sites, based in Oakland, San Ramon or Pleasanton, onsite M-F. Lead a holistic, hospitality-driven employee journey spanning food, facilities, concierge, conference, reception, parking and grounds.

You will manage seven managers in a union setting, grow P&L results, ensure safety and compliance, and partner with senior stakeholders to drive strategic improvements and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of management experience in facilities or related field.
• Experience leading facilities operations across complex environments.

Shape a holistic, hospitality-driven employee journey across food, facilities, concierge, conference, reception, parking and grounds. Lead 7 managers in a union setting, grow P&L results and inspire fresh thinking.

About the job

In this senior leadership role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities operations, from skilled trades and maintenance programs to staffing, safety, and compliance, across complex, high-impact environments. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure optimal building performance, and partner with internal stakeholders to drive strategic improvements and operational excellence.

The role of an individual contributor within the organization focuses on completing specific tasks and projects; contributing directly through their skills and expertise. Performs specialized technical tasks to support operations. Work is primarily achieved independently, however may collaborate with a team.

Pay Range: $161585 per year - $209110 per year

Incentive Eligibility: Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary

• Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, contracts, and resource allocation.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills to drive alignment and operational success across diverse teams.
