Job summary

X Energy, LLC in Houston seeks a Director of Equipment Execution to lead end-to-end delivery of complex equipment packages, oversee governance, and align with SHEQS standards. Acting as a senior technical and commercial authority, you will direct design stewardship, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, installation, commissioning, and handover.

You will chair cross-functional teams, manage cost, schedule, risks, and executive communications with clients, EPCs, and suppliers to ensure milestones

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in large-scale, complex equipment or fabrication project execution.
• Proven success leading enterprise-level or program-critical equipment execution strategies with commercial exposure.
• Deep expertise in equipment design, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and quality governance.
• Extensive collaboration with Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering and Project Controls; executive accountability.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own a strategic execution framework for complex equipment packages across the project portfolio.
• Oversee strategies integrating maturity, readiness, and procurement risks into enterprise planning.
• Govern configuration management and change control across engineering, supply chain, and quality.
• Provide executive oversight on design-for-manufacturing and resolve high-impact technical issues.
• Approve readiness assessments prior to commercial award and ensure contractual and regulatory adherence.
• Deliver high-impact executive reporting and drive risk-informed forecasts for leadership.
