NXT | CLT, a Charlotte-based nonprofit, seeks an Executive Director to lead strategic direction, programming, and growth. The role emphasizes fundraising, financial stewardship, and external partnerships to expand impact for BIPOC entrepreneurs.

The ED will cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners, while guiding a high-performing team and ensuring sustainable operations. A proven entrepreneurial mindset is essential.

Competenze

• Five+ years of progressive leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated success leading an organization, business unit, or entrepreneurial enterprise.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, revenue generation, and financial decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to develop financial resources through fundraising, business development, sales, partnerships, grants, or other revenue-generating activities.
• Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating programs, initiatives, or services.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with entrepreneurs, executives, donors, and community leaders.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational development, project management, and execution capabilities.
• Experience leading staff, consultants, contractors, volunteers, or multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and public-speaking skills.
• Knowledge of Charlotte’s entrepreneurial, corporate, philanthropic, and community landscape is strongly preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred; an advanced degree or nonprofit management certification is desirable.

• Provide strategic leadership and set organizational priorities with the Board.
• Oversee NXT | CLT’s cohort-based programming and entrepreneur engagement.
• Lead fundraising strategy and develop diversified revenue streams.
• Manage finances, budgets, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Build strategic partnerships and strengthen the organization’s brand in Charlotte.
• Recruit, guide, and develop staff, consultants, and volunteers.
