Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an Executive Director – Enterprise Stress Testing Lead in New York, NY. You will provide executive-level leadership for stress testing across the Americas, build CCAR governance, and align methodologies with U.S. regulatory expectations.

The role reports to the Head of Stress Testing & Scenario Design and will manage a small team, coordinating with Finance, Front Office, and Risk areas to ensure end-to-end program integrity.

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading stress testing initiatives in large banks.
• Expertise in CCAR and capital adequacy frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of US regulatory expectations (Fed CCAR SR 12-7/15-19).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, governance, and execution of enterprise-wide stress testing.
• Build and oversee CCAR Risk program across businesses.
• Establish stress testing policies and governance.
• Provide second-line challenge on methodologies and results.
• Aggregate outputs for senior management and Board oversight.
• Integrate stress testing into capital planning and risk appetite.
• Coordinate with Finance, Treasury, Model Risk, Credit, Market, Liquidity, and Regulatory Relations.
