Job summary

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) Information Technology Department seeks an Executive Director, Networks & Telecommunications to lead enterprise networking, security, and communications across hospitals, clinics, research labs and campuses in South Florida. This on-site role reports to the CTO and blends strategic architecture with hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in enterprise networking and telecommunications.
• Experience in healthcare, higher education, or complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise networking and telecommunications strategy.
• Develop a forward‑looking strategy for emerging technologies to support priorities.
• Lead architecture and security for LAN, WAN, WLAN, VoIP, and CCaaS.
• Oversee DAS deployment and large-scale wireless deployments in facilities.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement for networking services.
