Job summary

Grand Hyatt Vail is seeking a Director of Engineering & Capital Projects to lead our engineering operations, capital investments, and asset strategy for a premier Hyatt resort. You will join the Executive Leadership Committee and shape long-range plans, budgets, and project delivery to maximize asset value and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience overseeing engineering, facilities, or capital projects in large-scale environments.
• Proven track record leading capital projects, renovations, or major initiatives.
• Experience developing and managing operating and capital budgets.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management, financial analysis, and strategic planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve on the Resort Executive Leadership Committee and set asset strategy.
• Lead capital planning, budgeting, and execution of major renovations and projects.
• Oversee engineering, maintenance, utilities, and facility operations across the resort.
• Drive sustainability, energy management, and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Coach and develop a high-performing engineering and facilities team.
