West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN is seeking a leader to oversee Emergency Services operations, clinical quality, financial performance, and regulatory compliance across all departments within the umbrella. The role includes directing personnel, policy development, and budget management with focus on age-appropriate care.

Under the COO, this senior role manages professional and non-professional staff, patient flow, fleet readiness, and 24/7 operations, with potential for additional hours

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of EMTALA, CMS, Joint Commission Standards, state EMS regulations, and NIMS/ICS.
• Nursing and management skills aligned with hospital policies; 3 months probation period.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee as required

Responsabilités

• Plan, approve, monitor, and evaluate staffing; counsel and discipline personnel.
• Analyze staffing needs and authorize scheduling, overtime, and time off.
• Evaluate patient care standards and take corrective action when needed.
• Evaluate day-to-day performance of ED and ambulance services, including throughput metrics and EMS response times.
• Recommends capacity and surge planning with inpatient leadership; resolve boarding and diversion issues.
• Represent the department at administrative conferences and with West Tennessee Healthcare functions
