The County of San Benito seeks an experienced executive to oversee its Office of Emergency Services (OES) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as Emergency Services Coordinator. You will direct countywide emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts, coordinating with multiple departments and local, state, and federal partners.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public or Business Administration, Emergency Services, Disaster Management, or closely related field.
• Four years of professional-level administrative or management experience in emergency management or related field, including one year developing and implementing countywide or comparable emergency and disaster plans, and four years in a supervisory capacity.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License and ability to obtain security clearance; FEMA PDs within one year; on-call extended hours as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead emergency management official and Emergency Services Coordinator; direct countywide preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, and resilience activities.
• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate OES programs; set goals, priorities, performance measures, and standards.
• Develop and maintain emergency operations plans, procedures, and resource strategies; oversee EOC readiness and drills.
• Coordinate with County departments, cities, public safety agencies, nonprofits, businesses, and partners to promote whole-community preparedness.
• Provide strategic and operational oversight during emergencies, including resource coordination, evacuation, and mutual aid.
• Monitor legislation and ensure compliance; manage OES budget, expenditures, and grant opportunities.
• Direct public education, outreach, training, exercises, and presentations related to emergency preparedness.
