Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, AL, seeks a Director of Nursing Operations to oversee the Emergency Department and lead strategic and operational nursing initiatives. This role partners with hospital leadership to achieve patient care quality, safety, and financial targets across the department.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (MSN/DNP preferred) with RN licensure, and brings at least three years of acute care nursing and one year of leadership experience to drive staffing,

Qualifications

• Three years as RN in acute care or outpatient setting.
• At least one year of leadership experience.
• Current RN license in Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

Responsibilities

• Oversee environment to ensure patient safety and compliance with standards (OSHA, JCAHO, infection control, risk management).
• Plan, lead, and evaluate delivery of patient care to achieve outcomes.
• Promote safety and high reliability of processes and quality outcomes.
• Lead nursing policy formulation and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain an effective nursing delivery model aligned with patient needs.
