Job summary

Northwest Independent School District in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Executive Director of Elementary Support to lead Pre-K–5 instructional supervision, develop professional growth, and oversee approximately half of elementary principals. Reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction.

The role emphasizes supervision, data interpretation, collaboration with campus leaders, and advancing district goals within the Curriculum & Instruction department.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctorate in administration, curriculum and instruction, and/or related field.
• Minimum of three years of successful experience as an elementary principal.
• Valid Texas principal certificate.
• Extensive knowledge of public school administration and current trends in education.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate others.
• Ability to interpret data.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, aligning and supporting District goals in daily activities.
• Review and analyze student data to identify campus specific needs for improved student performance.
• Assist and support campuses and central office in all assigned areas of instruction.
• Collaborate with elementary principals to plan time, resources, and materials to support campus and district goals.
• Support the effective use of technology in the teaching-learning process.
• Monitor development and implementation of campus improvement plans to align with district goals.
• Attend and participate in district-wide initiatives and training sessions.
• Ensure District curriculum is delivered according to Board Policy EH (LOCAL).
• Participate in professional organizations and staff development to stay abreast of trends and best practices.
• Make weekly campus visits to assess implementation of District initiatives and instructional effectiveness.
• Assist curriculum staff in evaluating and selecting instructional materials.
• Evaluate and document performance of elementary principals based on student performance criteria.
• Monitor utilization of personnel and campus resources to improve instruction.
• Participate in screening and interviewing of candidates for elementary principal and assistant principal positions.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to ensure instruction and programs support student achievement.
• Articulate the district’s mission and curriculum strategies to the community for support.
• Prepare reports as necessary.
