Job summary

Small World Inc. is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization’s overall strategy, program development, resource allocation, and operations in New Glarus.

You will inspire a diverse ECE team, advise the board, and champion the center’s vision and values in a nonprofit context. The role requires extensive leadership experience in early childhood management, strong governance interaction, and adherence to licensing and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Registry level twelve or higher required.
• Five or more years of early childhood management experience.
• Membership to at least one early childhood organization.
• Background verification check.
• Read staff policy and procedure handbook and sign understanding.
• Complete physical and TB skin test within 30 days of hire.
• Monthly staff meetings and in-services scheduled.
• Compliance with Wisconsin licensing and YoungStar standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management team (Assistant Director, Kids World Manager, Small World Manager).
• Prepare and track annual operating budget for Small World and Kids World.
• Manage all insurance policies and contracts.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable.
• Conduct family tours and manage enrollment for programs.
• Follow licensing regulations and YoungStar standards.
• Oversee annual teacher evaluations and maintain staff files.
