Job summary

Winnsboro Independent School District seeks an Assistant Superintendent of Business and Human Resources to oversee the district’s financial, business and HR affairs. Qualifications

• Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in education administration, business, accounting, or related field.
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Advanced knowledge of school finance, budgeting, accounting systems, and economics.
• Knowledge of information/data processing systems and financial applications.
• Knowledge of selection, training, and supervision of personnel.
• Knowledge of performance appraisal administration.
• Knowledge of general and education employment law and hearing procedures.
• Ability to resolve conflict, listen, and appropriately respond to concerns.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to manage budget and personnel.
• Ability to implement policy and procedures.
• Ability to interpret data.
• Excellent public relations, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, the school board, or other organizations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial, business and human resources affairs of the district.
• Provide leadership for financial services to ensure legally sound management practices.
• Direct and monitor the investment of all district funds and protect assets.
• Recommend and implement HR programs, policies, and practices.
• Supervise the business office budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
