Job summary

Live Oaks Community Church in The Villages, Florida is seeking an Executive Director of Discipleship & Teaching (Director of Engagement) to help people take meaningful next steps in their faith and become fully engaged in the life of the church.

Serving on the Senior Leadership Team, this leader will oversee the Discipleship Pathway, manage a team of direct reports, teach roughly half the year on the Teaching Team, and support 900 people across 70+ small groups on three campuses.

Qualifications

• Leads through teams, systems, and ministry leaders.
• Oversees the Discipleship Pathway with four six-to-eight-week sessions.
• Develops healthy, multiplying small groups during the ministry season.
• Provides expositional teaching and preaching across campuses.
• Guides change with wisdom, clarity, and relational trust.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Discipleship Pathway and direct reports within the church.
• Teach a substantial portion of the year as part of the Teaching Team.
• Support a large network of small groups totaling 900 people across 70+ groups on three campuses.
