Job summary

Point Foundation is seeking a strategic Chief Development Officer to lead all fundraising programs and staff, directing major gifts, foundations, and corporate giving while strengthening donor engagement. In partnership with the CEO, COO, and the Board, the CDO will shape and execute revenue strategies to grow annual gifts and reserves for LGBTQ+ scholars.

The CDO will manage a national development team, cultivate high-net-worth relationships, and advance marketing integration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of frontline fundraising and leadership experience.
• Experience building and leading development organizations at scale.
• Proven ability to manage large teams in a remote environment.
• Strong record of major gifts, foundations, and corporate giving.
• Experience integrating marketing and communications with fundraising.
• Knowledge of moves management and donor engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of all fundraising programs and staff.
• Develop and implement fundraising programs to meet revenue goals.
• Manage a portfolio of major donors, corporate and foundation relationships.
• Collaborate with CEO, COO, and board committees to motivate giving.
• Lead Development team and coordinate with boards on donor engagement.
• Travel within the United States up to 30%.
