Job summary

YMCA of Central Florida is seeking an Executive Director to lead a Central Florida Family Center. You will manage operations, staff and programs across Membership, Wellness, Aquatics, Sports and Family Programs, with emphasis on community empowerment.

Under District leadership, you will oversee budgeting, fundraising, volunteer engagement, board development and member retention while ensuring high program quality and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 5 years in operations management within health and wellness or similar industry.
• Minimum 3 years in fiscal management including budget development and revenue growth.
• Experience with volunteers; board leadership preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new technology.

• Creates vision and sets direction for the Family Center; plans for growth.
• Manages people and resources; develops talent; resolves conflicts.
• Drives membership and program growth; builds member relationships.
• Develops community resources; engages volunteers and donors; supports fundraising.
• Models professionalism; upholds YMCA mission and values; communicates effectively.
• Manages operating budget to achieve positive financial results.
• Recruits, develops and retains department leads; plans succession.
• Provides leadership through performance management and staff meetings.
• Leads membership strategies; grows revenue and units.
• Improves member retention through wellness, aquatics, sports and programs.
• Develops quality programs and schedules based on member feedback.
• Identifies best practices in systems/technology for efficient mgmt.
• Maximizes facility/equipment usage; maintains clean facilities.
• Oversees employee safety and risk management.
• Develops annual campaigns and scholarship initiatives.
• Promotes events; represents YMCA in community.
• Collaborates with Board and volunteers to advance mission.
• Engages community leaders; builds a strong volunteer structure.
• Represents YMCA Central Florida mission to staff, members, and community.
• Serves on association management team; supports overall objectives.
• All other duties assigned by Management.
