Regeneron seeks an Executive Director to lead the Commercial Insights and Analytics (I&A), Immunology team from Sleepy Hollow, NY. This senior role reports to the VP of CSI&A and partners with the Immunology CBU leadership to drive insights that inform major business decisions across leading brands.

The role requires 20+ years in pharma/biotech commercial analytics with MBA/ MPH preferred, and on-site work four days a week with occasional travel.

Build our future together: At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking an Executive Director to lead our Commercial Insights and Analytics (I&A), Immunology team.

The Executive Director, Commercial Insights and Analytics (I&A), Immunology, will report directly into the Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Insights & Analytics (CSI&A) within the CSI&A department. This role will lead the high-performing I&A team responsible for the Immunology Commercial Business Unit (CBU) to drive deeper insights that inform business decisions across some of Regeneron’s leading brands. The role will partner with and serve as a strategic advisor for the SVP, Commercial Immunology CBU, and will partner with other leaders to grow and develop talent within the I&A organization. Work Location: Sleepy Hollow, NY 4 days per week on site 25% Travel may be required

Discover your role:
  1. Lead and mentor the CSI&A Immunology team in providing business analytics, customer insights and competitive intelligence to deliver rich insights to solve key business problems
  2. Set the strategic I&A direction that aligns with CBU priorities and helps drive commercial excellence
  3. Serve as a member of the Immunology CBU Leadership Team, providing I&A expertise
  4. Serve as a member of the CSI&A leadership team to drive cross-commercial innovation and best-in-class delivery
  5. Translate complex analyses into compelling insights and recommendations that will be used to inform business decision-making for senior Regeneron teams, including the CBU, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors
  6. Develop people from both a functional skills and leadership perspective, with the goal of growing internal talent
  7. Assess and implement novel methodologies and frameworks to a) garner meaningful insights to inform brand differentiation, market growth and business impact; and b) consider business potential for pipeline products
  8. Collaborate with the Immunology CBU and other members of senior leadership to contribute to ongoing brand strategies and decisions, including long-term data, analytics and insights roadmap
  9. Develop and maintain a mutually beneficial partnership with CBU stakeholders; ensure insight generation and feedback are embraced; strike a balance between project rigor, timelines and ability to influence decisions
  10. Lead efforts to identify and crystalize insights that inform strategic plans for the Immunology CBU
  11. Work with other CSI&A leaders to develop standardized adoption of capabilities such as marketing mix, promotional optimization, data science, market structure analyses, patient/treatment flow modeling, analog modeling and ML/AI methodologies across I&A
  12. Proactively communicate with the Immunology CBU and provide strategic recommendations and insights as well as anticipated future needs
  13. Construct and deliver integrated business reviews, I&A summary overviews with the Immunology CBU and with CSI&A leadership
  14. Manage third-party vendor relationships
This role requires:
  • 20+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience, in roles of increasing accountability; prior experience with buy-and-bill brands in highly competitive markets is required
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in data science, public health, statistics, engineering, or a related field
  • Functional expertise in business analytics, customer insights, analog forecast development, market access, and competitive intelligence
  • Prior experience managing I&A groups with responsibility for analytics, customer insights, market access analytics, and competitive intelligence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment, as it relates to commercialization in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
  • Knowledge of data industry standards
  • Proven ability to influence, communicate and negotiate with all levels of management across functional and business unit boundaries
  • Extensive experience with managing numerous projects concurrently against stringent deadlines
  • Prior experience working with I&A projects and initiatives where a balance between project rigor and timeliness was needed
  • Ability to think strategy to execution with hands on experience in implementing large initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Expertise in data visualization and data storytelling
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflict, drive consensus and work across multiple departments
  • Strong organizational, project management, influencing and change management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project and priorities concurrently, while meeting stringent deadlines
  • Master’s (MBA, MPH, MS) preferred
  • Experience with co-promotes, as well as the immunology disease category, is strongly desired
