Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks an Executive Director, Clinical Operations to translate the CCO’s strategic priorities into coordinated, system-wide action across clinical quality, patient safety, primary care, value-based care, and digital health and innovation.

Reporting to the EVP and CCO, this role partners with the OCCO, leads an executive team, and drives accountability in a large, integrated health system. A BS/BA is required; 10+ years of leadership in healthcare is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; Master’s strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare management, operations, strategy, or consulting.
• Experience in a Chief of Staff, VP of Operations, or senior strategy/ops role in a major health system.
• Experience managing budgets, performance cycles, and senior leadership teams.
• Familiarity with clinical quality, value-based care, patient experience, and population health management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational advisor to the CCO, providing strategic counsel on priorities, resource deployment, and leadership effectiveness.
• Manage OCCO's day-to-day rhythm, including agenda management, decision tracking, and follow-through.
• Maintain enterprise-wide awareness of clinical, operational, and strategic activities related to the CCO’s agenda.
• Prepare and staff the CCO for executive meetings, board presentations, and external engagements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project resources and drive execution across the OCCO.
