City of New York’s DCAS Energy Management is seeking an Executive Director to lead strategy and execution for the city’s energy goals. You will drive battery storage expansion, oversee solar projects, and set procurement direction for major contracts.

The role requires senior leadership experience in energy management, strong budgeting skills, and ability to coordinate cross‑agency programs, with a focus on sustainable, scalable city-wide solutions.

Formación

• Master’s degree or equivalent with energy/environmental focus and leadership experience.
• Experience in administrative, managerial, executive, consultative, or supervisory roles.
• Proven background in energy management, sustainability or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Strategy Development: craft plan to meet city clean energy goals and expand battery storage deployment.
• Budgeting Leadership: oversee budget projections and funding for solar projects.
• Procurement Expertise: guide vendor selection and contracting for city programs.
• Asset Management and Forward Planning: shape asset criteria for city-owned solar/storage systems.
• Innovation Piloting and Adoption: lead energy tech demonstrations in city buildings.
• Operations Oversight: supervise teams, establish standards, and manage project execution.
