Job summary

The Norwood Ohio Chamber of Commerce seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization as its chief executive officer. You will drive the Chamber’s mission through strategic leadership, membership development, financial stewardship, advocacy, and community engagement.

Work with the Board and local stakeholders to deliver measurable value, foster collaboration, and ensure operational excellence. Evening/weekend events and local travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• 2–3 years of leadership, nonprofit, chamber, association, or business management experience.
• Strong relationship-building, networking, and public speaking skills.
• Experience with budgeting, fundraising, sponsorships, and financial oversight.
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Chamber’s strategic vision and work with the Board of Directors.
• Recruit and engage members; develop programs and networking opportunities.
• Oversee budget, forecasting, cash flow, contracts, and operations.
• Plan and execute Chamber events; seek sponsorships and non-dues revenue.
• Oversee branding, website, newsletters, and communications.
