Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking an Executive Director to define and execute the CGT Quality vision, operating model, and strategy across development through commercialization. You will build scalable quality capabilities, lead digital quality initiatives, and drive risk-based decision making with internal and external partners.

You will partner with stakeholders to map a phase-appropriate quality roadmap to commercialization, ensure regulatory readiness, and lead a global quality

Qualifications

• 15+ years of quality/technical experience in pharmaceutical development and commercial manufacture.
• 10+ years in a management/supervisory role.
• Deep knowledge across GXP life cycle in Cell & Gene therapy and/or Biologics.
• Experience leading quality organizations across global manufacturing networks and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term CGT Quality strategy aligned with Vertex objectives.
• Build scalable quality operating models to support portfolio growth and global commercialization.
• Lead CGT governance, partner with stakeholders for strategic/operational alignment.
• Drive enterprise-wide quality transformation initiatives and inspections readiness.
• Oversee quality in internal manufacturing and external CRO/CMO operations.
