Job summary

Indiana Wesleyan University is seeking an Executive Director of Workforce Engagement to lead the Career Readiness and Workforce Launch department. You will design and implement a three‑pillar career launch system that turns career prep into a proactive, data‑driven program, with a focus on Human Capital Packaging and regional employer engagement.

This is a senior leadership role overseeing a small, remote/hybrid team and touching across enrollment, academics, and advancement.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in higher education, organizational leadership, human resources, business administration, or a closely related field.
Doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in higher education, organizational leadership, or a related field preferred
Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in career services, workforce development, talent acquisition, or a related field, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
Demonstrated experience developing and managing employer partnerships, including negotiating employment agreements and presenting talent profiles to C-suite or senior HR audiences

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and ongoing refinement of the Career Readiness and Workforce Launch model.
Develop a 24‑month implementation roadmap with milestones.
Establish KPI framework including placement rates and 90‑day graduate retention.
Produce termly Student Success Intelligence Briefs for executive audiences.
Represent department in governance structures and cross‑divisional initiatives.
Manage budget and authorize FTE growth as enrollment grows.
Cultivate and manage high‑value employer partnerships at C‑suite level.
Oversee Regional Career Agent employer accounts (15–30 per FTE).
Coordinate weekly with Enrollment Division for alignment on employer accounts.
Provide monthly market intelligence briefs to VP and Board audiences.
Lead participation in regional employer engagement events across hub markets.
Provide supervision and professional development for pillar roles.
Maintain standardized intervention protocols and documentation.
Monitor KPI performance and initiate corrective actions.
Facilitate weekly team meetings and regular supervision sessions.
Onboard and train new hires aligned with Human‑First AI framework.
Oversee AI‑augmented tech stack and Salesforce workflows.
Collaborate on Salesforce configuration and API maintenance.
Contribute to Digital Credential Wallet initiatives and platform deployments.
