Job summary

The Rochester YMCA is seeking an Executive Director to provide year-round leadership for Camp Arrowhead and its swim center, reporting to the VP of Camping Services. You will guide programs, facilities, staff development, and safety while ensuring a financially sustainable operation that serves children, families, and the community.

You will set annual goals, lead fundraising campaigns, cultivate donors and volunteers, and represent Camp Arrowhead with the Board and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education, child development, education, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience developing, implementing, and managing high-quality, large-scale programs.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain.
• Experience with fundraising and donor cultivation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide year-round executive leadership and oversight for Camp Arrowhead and the swim center.
• Establish annual goals, priorities, and operating plans aligned with strategic direction.
• Lead planning, evaluation, and improvement of programs and services (summer day camp, aquatics, events).
• Ensure safe, high-quality, mission-driven experiences for participants, families, and guests.
• Develop strategies to increase participation, revenue, and community impact.
• Lead annual campaign and donor relations in partnership with Board and leadership.
• Maintain certifications, staffing structures, and safety practices.
