Morgan Stanley's ALM Accounting Specialist is a senior technical role within the Fixed Income Division, embedded in the Global ALM team. You will lead US accounting and technical delivery for US corporate clients, focusing on derivatives and hedging solutions.

Working with Front Office Accounting Advisory and CDG, you will ensure compliant, financially sound structuring and reporting under US GAAP, while engaging auditors and leading governance efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CPA/CFA are assets.
• Significant derivatives accounting, product control, or financial reporting experience.
• Strong hedge accounting concepts and practical application.
• Ability to engage with front-office professionals and influence deal structuring decisions.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary US accounting expert for derivatives, structured hedging, and complex trades with CDG and US sales coverage.
• Provide real-time accounting input during deal structuring, including P&L, balance sheet, hedge accounting, and disclosures under US GAAP ASC 815.
• Partner with CDG originators, structurers, and traders to align commercial outcomes with appropriate accounting treatment.
• Participate in internal transaction reviews, ensuring accounting considerations are reflected in approvals and documentation.
• Develop US GAAP–focused guidance, frameworks, and tools; deliver training to CDG and FID stakeholders.
