Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of derivative accounting or related financial reporting experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting involving complex derivatives.
• Experience with U.S. STAT reporting and ASC 815/ASC 820.
• Experience with derivative valuations, reconciliations, and disclosures.
• Insurance, reinsurance, or asset management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead derivative accounting, financial reporting, and analysis across a complex investment portfolio.
• Oversee accounting for swaps, options, futures, FX contracts, and structured products.
• Ensure reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, U.S. STAT, RSTAT, and regulatory requirements.
• Review derivative valuations, reconciliations, journal entries, disclosures, and supportive documents.
• Oversee quarterly and annual statutory investment schedules, exhibits, and regulatory filings.
• Analyze investment portfolio performance, income trends, and risk exposures.
• Prepare insightful financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Collaborate with Investment, Treasury, Actuarial, Risk, and Finance teams on complex transactions.
• Improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and implement automation.
• Support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
