The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) invites applications for an Executive Director to lead AI-BIOME, a NSF-funded Programmable Cloud Laboratory, based at CCNY/ASRC. This role steers strategic growth, partnerships, and sustainability across multi-institutional teams, with focus on integration with CCNY and ASRC initiatives.

Responsibilities include external engagement, program oversight, and workforce development, while fostering an inclusive culture and long-term

Formación

• Advanced degree in science, engineering, computer science, data science, public administration, business, or related discipline.
• Eight to ten years of leadership experience managing complex scientific, academic, or research organizations.
• Experience managing large federally funded research programs, interdisciplinary centers, or shared facilities.
• Experience managing budgets, grants, contracts, and multi-institutional collaborations.
• Experience with federal funding agencies and research administration/compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership for AI-BIOME and its growth, partnerships, and sustainability.
• Represent AI-BIOME with NSF, federal and state agencies, partners, industry, and stakeholders.
• Integrate AI-BIOME with CCNY/ASRC research infrastructure and core facilities.
• Lead organizational development and staff mentorship.
• Oversee program performance, NSF reporting, external reviews, and strategic planning.
• Ensure excellence in research operations, workforce development, and outreach.
