Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago is seeking a Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Services to lead the Office of Advanced Practice operations and strategy. This role focuses on APP recruitment, deployment models, professional development, and cross‑functional collaboration with Rush leadership and service lines.

The Director will allocate 0.60 FTE to administrative duties and 0.40 FTE to clinical practice, overseeing a cohort of 100–140 APPs, while ensuring high quality

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing or PA studies.
• Minimum of nine years’ APRN/PA clinical practice.
• Minimum of five years APP leadership experience preferred.
• IL Advanced Practice license or PA licensure required.
• Board certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for APP practice across assigned clinical focus.
• Lead APP managers and Lead APPs; oversee 100–140 APPs.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership to optimize APP deployment.
• Develop and maintain onboarding, credentialing, and performance metrics.
• Ensure adherence to accreditation, regulatory and organizational policies.
