Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services is seeking a Vice President of Addiction Services to lead the strategic direction, operations, and growth of the addiction continuum across the system.

Reporting to the President of Behavioral Services and in partnership with the Medical Director, this role drives performance, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and financial stewardship while collaborating with hospital leaders and community partners to advance integrated care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred with 10+ years of leadership in addiction treatment including clinical operations and financial management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of addiction services operations, finance, workforce management, health IT, Epic, and performance management.
• Proven executive leader with strong relationship-building skills and ability to lead complex organizational change.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and web-based tools.
• Familiarity with CARF requirements and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

• Leads Addiction Services in a dyadic partnership with the Medical Director of Addiction Services to drive strategy and delivery of high-quality care across the continuum.
• Maintains accountability through clear performance metrics and data-driven decisions.
• Oversees workforce planning, recruitment, hiring, and leadership development in alignment with policy and compliance.
• Ensures operational visibility across staffing, Epic workflows, and revenue cycle; identifies best practices and reduces variation.
• Integrates regulatory changes into strategy, program design, and policy implementation while engaging external forums.
