Job summary

Rutgers University, RBHS, is seeking an Executive Director of Information Technology to provide strategic leadership for information technology, telecommunications, and digital services across the academic health sciences environment spanning multiple medical schools and affiliate programs.

The role reports to the Executive Vice Dean and focuses on establishing unified technology strategy, governance, and high-quality IT services to support education, research, patient care, and administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in a related technology field.
• Minimum five years in higher education information technology leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for information technology and digital services across academic health sciences environments.
• Lead organization-wide technology governance, policies, and operating models for service delivery, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Serve as senior technology advisor to executive leadership on emerging technologies and strategic investments.
• Oversee planning within budget, implementation, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications and infrastructure.
• Direct technology portfolio management, including prioritization of strategic initiatives and risk mitigation.
