Today, TRAHC continues to build on that legacy through an expanding range of cultural, educational, and creative programming. The Executive Director manages a dynamic team of 10-15 individuals including coordinators and directors, as well as part-time attendants and additionally oversees operations in two community facilities: the Regional Arts Center and TRAHC’s ArtSpace. The Regional Arts Center, an artisan-restored former federal courthouse dating to 1911, is TRAHC’s formal event space, featuring office space, galleries for installations and exhibits, and party, rental, and event space. TRAHC’s ArtSpace (within walking distance of the Regional Arts Center) is a multi-use, multi-disciplinary community art space that offers professional development, workshops, and classes, with event and rental space, along with staff offices and supply rooms.
The Executive Director of TRAHC will coordinate the arts council’s strategic planning and vision in the Texarkana community, while managing staff at the two facilities and promoting the organization to members and patrons of the community. Some functions of this position will include:

The Executive Director of TRAHC will lead a nearly 50-year old organization that is a cornerstone of downtown revitalization that offers arts and cultural programming in two locations and impacts the lives of thousands of students, patrons, exhibitors, and vendors across the region each year. This position will sustain, promote, and leverage relationships with innumerable stakeholders across the region to truly live out the organization’s mission.
The Executive Director of TRAHC is a full-time exempt position with paid holidays, sick/vacation leave, and insurance coverage. Hours will generally remain typical business hours with some work completed as needed on weekends and evenings (usually in the case of events). The range of pay for this position is $50-60K annually commensurate with experience. Exceptional candidates with an extensive and proven history of nonprofit administration may be able to negotiate a salary above the listed range.
