Wellness is a state of complete physical, emotional, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease. A comprehensive approach to wellness involves treating the mind, the body, and spirit. Studies show that 34% of cancer patients are at risk for depression, and 43% of cancer patients and 50% of caregivers are at risk of anxiety, making it equally important to address the psychological and social challenges created or exacerbated by cancer. Our professionally led programs include short-term individual support and support groups, educational workshops, stress management and healthy lifestyle programs, social programs, and resource and referral, all provided at no cost to participants.
For more than 30 years, Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis has provided free support programs to anyone impacted by any type of cancer at any stage of the cancer journey.
