Job summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Hospice Executive Director RN to lead operations across multiple sites. The role requires an RN license, a health-related bachelor’s degree, and supervisory experience in hospice or related healthcare settings.

You will oversee business performance, travel to sites, and collaborate with leadership to optimize operations. The ideal candidate will drive financial awareness, staff development, and executive collaboration, while guiding startup

Qualifications

• Must be an RN licensed in practicing state.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Experience in business and fiscal functions in a health care setting preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Travel to identified sites to assist with Executive Operations.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly Executive Director meetings.
• Assist with startup operations as assigned.
• Serve as a business operations expert for all Hospice locations.
• Assist with education and training for new Executive Directors.
• Provide continuing education opportunities for existing Executive Directors.
• Review business operations reports and help improve processes.
• Assist in interviewing potential Executive Directors and other positions.
• Gather intelligence on operational activities and report to Leadership.

As the Administrator for this branch a Bachelors degree or higher in a health-related field

AND

a minimum of 2 years of full-time supervisory or managerial experience in a hospice, home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility within the last 5 years is required for consideration.

RN License in CA preferred

• Must be a (RN) Registered Nurse licensed in practicing state
• At least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or a related health care program, 2 or more years preferred
• Experience in the business and fiscal functions in a health care setting, preferred
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order

Responsibilities:

• Travel to identified sites to assist with Executive Operations

• Serving as a business operations expert for all Hospice locations
• In collaboration with the Learning & Development team, assist with education and training for new Executive
• Directors, including continuing education opportunities for existing Executive Director
• Assist in reviewing the business operations reports and helping to improve processes for each site
• Assist in interviewing potential Executive Directors, Director-Business Operations, and any other operations positions, as requested
• Gather intelligence on all operational activities at local sites when visiting and bring information back to Leadership team for development of action plans
