Reporting to the Board, you will oversee strategy, finances, staff, and fundraising efforts to enhance programs serving thousands of older adults and caregivers in Newport County.

Located in the heart of historic Newport, Rhode Island, the Edward King House has served older adults for more than six decades by providing opportunities for lifelong learning, wellness, social engagement, volunteerism, and community connection. As a nationally recognized leader in healthy aging, the Center offers more than 90 programs and services annually, serving thousands of older adults and caregivers throughout Newport County.

The Edward King House Senior Center is a nationally accredited senior center dedicated to helping older adults age with dignity, purpose, and independence. Through innovative programming, health and wellness initiatives, lifelong learning opportunities, volunteer engagement, social services, and community partnerships, the Center serves as a trusted resource for older adults throughout Newport County.
The organization is financially stable, strategically positioned for future growth, and supported by an engaged Board of Directors, dedicated staff, committed volunteers, and strong community partnerships.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, financial stewardship, operational oversight, staff leadership, resource development, community engagement, and implementation of the organization's mission and strategic goals.
The Executive Director works collaboratively with the Board, staff, volunteers, members, donors, municipal leaders, and community partners to ensure the continued success and long-term sustainability of the organization.
