Job description

Executive Director

Eagle's Wings Retreat Center ("EWRC"), a nonprofit organization, whose mission is to enrich the lives of Catholic and other Christian youth and their families by providing a Christ-centered environment with retreats and facilities in a natural setting, seeks an individual for the role of Executive Director. This is a full-time position which requires work on some weekends.

A candidate should be actively participating in their Roman Catholic faith. They must reside within 30 minutes of EWRC (located 6 miles northwest of Burnet, Texas), or be willing to relocate to the Burnet, Texas area at their own cost.

The following attributes are not required but will be considered during the application process:

• Willingness to fully embrace and embody the EWRC mission and vision through service to others and a "pride of place" attitude;
• Supervisory, business administration, delegation, and coordination experience, along with demonstrative leadership skills
• Background in fundraising;
• Ability to coordinate with directors, founders, and other key individuals;
• Conversant in finance, including revenue and expense accounting, and the reconciliation of business accounts;
• Ability to effectively and persistently champion EWRC's efforts and goals, and maintain strong follow-through of initiatives;
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and EIM;
• History of volunteerism and service to the community;
• Passion for sharing the Christian faith and engaging members of the community, especially youth through religious vocation;
• An ability and willingness to build, develop relationships, and coordinate with the Catholic Bishops and Diocese of Austin, San Angelo, and San Antonio, retreatants, volunteers, benefactors, grantors, and the community-at-large;
• Background in marketing, sales or customer service;
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks;
• Bachelor or equivalent degree.
