Job summary

Diocese of Austin seeks a Director for Cedarbrake Retreat Center to develop and maintain operational and public relations activities promoting the center. The role reports to the Secretariat Director for Formation and Spirituality and requires independent judgement and initiative.

The position includes leadership of seven-day operations, programming, services and staffing, with responsibility for budget and outreach to parishes and other groups.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in theology or pastoral ministry from an accredited institution.
• Three years of full-time wage-earning work experience including supervision of volunteers or staff.
• Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
• Valid Texas driver’s license; ability to travel within and outside the diocese.

Responsibilities

• Manage seven-days-a-week operations, programming, services and staffing of Cedarbrake Retreat Center.
• Promote the ministry and recruit groups to use the retreat facilities.
• Provide diocesan leadership with support regarding retreat ministry.
• Oversee budget development, implementation and monitoring.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage communications and media materials.
