Job summary

Avista Senior Living in Lake Havasu City, AZ seeks an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR to lead our senior living community. This dual role combines executive leadership with sales and marketing to drive occupancy and exceptional resident care.

You will direct overall operations, ensure regulatory compliance with the AZ dept of health, and build a team focused on service, accountability, and growth, in collaboration with the local corporate office.

Qualifications

• Licensed assisted living manager in good standing or have license within 90 days of offer.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Gerontology, Business or related field preferred.
• Memory care leadership experience: minimum 2 years preferred.
• Be an excellent communicator.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide team leadership to managers and staff to foster cooperation, accountability, and growth.
• Collaborate with Health Services Director to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Interact with resident family members and resolve questions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with AZ Department of Health rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with local corporate office on property issues and developments.
• Report financial performance to meet budget occupancy goals.
• Work with in-house marketing to move in new residents.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Providing Team Leadership: Leads the team of managers and staff to create a culture of cooperation, accountability, and growth. Works to treat employees fairly, training each of the employees to succeed, and then consistently looking for ways to help the employees grow.
• Supervising and Assisting with Resident Care: Collaborates with the Health Services Director (Licensed Nurse) to ensure only the highest quality of care for the residents.
• Family Member Interface: Interacts with resident family members regularly, responding to questions promptly and solving problems appropriately as they arise.
• Ability to work with and interface with AZ dept of health: Consistently works towards being a citation free community. Regularly reviews rules and regulation to ensure compliance.
• Operations Management: Maintains close relationship and reporting with the local corporate office regarding ongoing property issues and developments.
• Financial Management: Reports to the local corporate office regularly as to the financial performance of the building. Strives to meet and exceed budget occupancy goals for the community.
• Building Lease Up: Engages with the in-house marketing director and coordinates with the other department managers to move in new residents to the community. Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have the following characteristics:

• Licensed assisted living manager in good standing or have license within 90 days of offer.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Gerontology, Business or related field preferred.
• Have meaningful on-site experience providing leadership in a Memory setting - Minimum of 2 year's experience preferred.
• Be an excellent communicator.
• Fun to work with and have the ability to work flexible hours.
